AGROSHIELD - Agricultural Risk Assessment and Resilience Strategies against Drought in the Southern Marmara Basin

The project will specifically target the districts of Gemlik, Gönen, İznik, and Karamürsel. Using the CLIMAAX methodology, developed within the scope of the CLIMAAX (Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Framework and Toolkit) Project, agricultural drought risks and vulnerabilities in the region will be analyzed. Socio-economic factors will also be integrated into the analysis. Following the assessment, Community Adaptation Action Plans will be developed in collaboration with local stakeholders. By addressing climate knowledge gaps in the Southern Marmara Basin, the project will enhance and transform the local communities’ capacity to adapt to climate change, supporting local decision-makers in crafting more effective adaptation strategies.
