Social Services Platform

he Social Services Platform consists of representatives from the relevant units of the Union member municipalities working in the field of social services.

Members of the Social Services Platform meet at regular intervals and work to promote fair, inclusive, and participatory social service models that contribute to the well-being of all residents and support the development of cities with a high quality of life.

The platform ensures coordination among its members and lays the groundwork for knowledge and experience sharing. Within the Social Services Platform, the demands and needs of the members related to social service provision are identified, and solutions are developed collaboratively. Various activities are carried out to strengthen the institutional capacities of the members in areas such as care services, child and family welfare, services for persons with disabilities, elderly care, social assistance, and access to rights and services. Contribution is made to the development of local policies in line with national and international legislation in accordance with local, national and global developments. Furthermore, works are carried out to shape national and international norms and agenda according to the demands and needs of the municipalities.

The Social Services Platform operates through various sub-groups based on the expertise of its members and the urban scales at which they work.
