MMU Inter-Municipal Expert Exchange Program Started
In line with MMU’s Statute, the program aims to upgrade the competence of experts working at its member municipalities, to increase cooperation and coordination among them, and to contribute to the more effective and efficient use of resources. As the first step of the program, 53 experts from 13 municipalities to share their knowledge and experience and 14 municipalities seeking expert support on 37 subjects were identified. Experts, then, were matched with the subjects and they held their first online exchange with respective municipalities with the coordination of MMU. In the first meetings, sub-themes of the subjects for which municipalities requested consultancy support were determined. Besides, the problems and possible solutions on the issues such as enforcement proceedings, performance measurement system, adjustment operations, building licenses, rural development, process improvement in administrative affairs, legislation concerning construction, software, information / network security systems, EU projects were addressed in the meetings. Member municipalities will continue to be supported on the new subjects that they need.
