Applications for the 2025–2026 EU Scholarships Are Now Open!

Supported by the European Union and implemented in partnership with the Marmara Municipalities Union, the EU Scholarship Programme has now started accepting applications for the 2025–2026 academic year. Previously limited to 23 provinces, the programme is now open to university students in all provinces of Türkiye. Moreover, for the first time, associate degree and vocational school students are also eligible to apply. Thus, in addition to undergraduate and graduate students, those enrolled in vocational education programmes will also have the opportunity to benefit from the scholarship.

Who Can Apply?

Students enrolled in a higher education institution in Türkiye who are:
 – Under temporary protection status Syrian),
 – Under international protection status,
 – Or citizens of the Republic of Türkiye.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Must be between 18 and 35 years old as of the application deadline,
 – Must be enrolled in one of the following faculties or departments: Engineering; Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; Business; Design and Architecture; Science and Letters; Education; Law; Languages; Medicine; Dentistry; Pharmacy; or Communication,
 – Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 or 65/100.

Students Currently Receiving an ESPS Scholarship:
 Students who are currently receiving an ESPS Scholarship are not eligible to receive the EU Scholarship simultaneously.

Ineligible Programmes:
 Students enrolled in language preparatory programmes or in distance and open education faculties are not eligible to apply. 

Application Timeline:

Applications open: 15 September 2025, 00:00
 Applications close: 1 November 2025, 23:59

Payment Conditions:

For both scholarship types, payments are made in two instalments after the start of the academic semester, upon submission of documents confirming the student’s active enrollment and continued academic progress. All scholarships are non-repayable.
