Disaster Management
Creating disaster-resistant cities is possible by calculating all risk factors before a disaster occurs and minimizing the damage that may occur by using the available resources. Disasters are not caused by natural events alone; the disasters happen as people from rural areas are located to cities more to improve their opportunities. The impact area of the destruction caused by the disaster has also increased with the population moves.
Ensuring the control of urban risks through various analyzes, determining the measures to be taken to protect natural and social life, and planning disaster management are among the primary duties of the local government.
